June 2, 2011

This past weekend we drove around el Lago Enriquillo, a large lake near the Haitian border.  The loop took about 4 hours, during which we saw amazing scenery, cute villages, and this tree tunnel.  It was nearly solid for an entire 3 miles, and it just seems imposible that it would be natural, as just outside the two rows of trees was farmland, but people in the country don't really pay too much attention to asthetics.  Perhaps we will solve the mystery next time we go.  More pictures from this trip to come.
